AI teammates: Rin, Maya, Theo and Lena
AppSprint has four AI teammates: Rin (Head of Engineering), Maya (Head of Sales), Theo (Head of Product) and Lena (Head of Marketing). The host or a co-host adds them to a session, and they contribute notes, journey maps and web-searched references alongside the human team. They never vote, never build prototypes, and take no part in the private steps or Prototype Review. People make every decision.
What they are for
A small team rarely has every function in the room. A founder and a designer may have nobody who thinks first about sales objections or engineering effort. AI teammates fill those seats with input, so the human team has more material to react to before it votes.
They are contributors, not deciders. Their notes sit with the team's notes, and the people in the room choose what matters.

What they do and do not do
- They do: add notes on note-taking steps, add journey maps, and bring references found through web search.
- They never vote. Every ballot in AppSprint is cast by a person.
- They never build prototypes. Every prototype in the gallery comes from a human teammate using the AI builder.
- They are excluded from the private steps (Private Notes, Rough Ideas and Eight Quick Ideas) and from Prototype Review.
- They do not decide. The decision-maker is always a person.
How to use them
Add them to the session
The host or a co-host adds AI teammates. In the One-Hour Sprint they are on by default. In other sessions they are off until someone adds them.
Give them context
In the One-Hour Sprint, the host can enter a website during setup. AppSprint takes one screenshot of it and passes that to AI-teammate research and to prototype builds. The site is not crawled or scraped.
Treat their input like anyone else's
Read their notes and references alongside the team's, then vote. Because they cannot vote, they add to the discussion without changing the count.
How they differ from the other AI in the room
AppSprint has several separate AI helpers, and it is worth knowing which is which. The Sprint Coach is pre-recorded voice narration that explains each step. "Ask for help" is a private assistant that answers one person's questions about the method and the current step. The AI builder makes prototypes from a person's description. AI teammates are the only AI helpers that add their own notes and references to the team's shared work, and only in the places listed above.
Limits and cost
AI teammates count as AI usage, and the host pays for all AI usage in the room with credits. Outside the One-Hour Sprint they appear only if the host or a co-host adds them, so a team that wants to hear only from people can leave them out. For current plans see pricing.
