For

AppSprint for founders

AppSprint helps founder-led software companies choose and test a product direction before spending engineering time on it. In a guided session of about an hour to a day, you and your cofounder or early team each build working prototypes with AI, vote privately, refine the winner together, and can send it to testers with a feedback form. It is free with unlimited teammates, and the host pays for AI credits.

The founder's version of the problem

Early on, engineering time is the scarcest thing you have, and the most expensive mistake is spending a month of it on the wrong direction. Cofounders often disagree in ways that are hard to settle by talking, because each is picturing a different product.

The cheap way through is to make each direction real enough to click, compare them side by side, pick one, and show it to a few people it is meant for.

What helps a founding team

  • Prototypes instead of arguments. Each person describes what people should be able to try, and the AI builder returns a working prototype as a web app, a web game or a design.
  • A fair comparison. Prototype authors are hidden during review, dots are anonymous and votes are private until reveal.
  • One person decides. The team vote is advisory and the decision-maker confirms the choice.
  • One shared build. In Refine Together the decision-maker prompts the AI and everyone else sends anonymous suggestions.
  • Extra perspectives. Optional AI teammates add notes and references from an engineering, sales, product or marketing point of view. They never vote, build or decide.
  • Feedback from outside the team. The Full and Focused sprints end with a feedback form that testers fill in without an account.

What you leave with

  • A working prototype you can download as a single HTML file
  • A session summary of the confirmed decisions, with a link you can share
  • From the Full and Focused sprints, a Markdown build brief (PRD) and a handoff package for a developer or an AI coding tool

When AppSprint is the wrong tool

If you are a solo founder, most of what the room offers, such as anonymous input, private voting and a separate decision-maker, has nothing to work on. An individual AI app builder is simpler; see AppSprint vs Lovable.

The prototypes are single-file HTML with no backend, no real APIs and no frameworks. They are for choosing and testing a direction, not for launch.

Questions and answers

How do I prototype an app idea with my cofounder quickly?

Agree on the one thing a user should be able to do and build it in one sitting. Use Team Vibe Coding to shape a single prototype together in about an hour, or the One-Hour Sprint if you each want to build a version and then choose. See prototype an app idea with your team.

Can AppSprint tell me whether my idea has product-market fit?

No. It can get a prototype in front of testers and show you their answers, including how disappointed they would be to lose the product. That is early signal, and the dashboard says plainly that it does not establish product-market fit. See validate a product idea.

What happens after the session?

You download the prototype, and in the Full and Focused sprints the host can generate a build brief (PRD) and a handoff package to give to a developer or an AI coding tool. The real product still has to be built.

What does it cost an early-stage team?

Rooms are free with unlimited teammates and there is no per-seat pricing. AI work uses credits paid by the host. New accounts get 5,000 trial credits with no card, and credits do not expire. See pricing.
