Where Lovable is the better choice
- You already know what to build and want a working app. AppSprint prototypes are single-file HTML with no backend, no real APIs and no frameworks. They are for learning and deciding, not for launching
- You want code you can keep. Lovable lists Git sync on all plans and code editing on Pro. AppSprint has no GitHub export and no integrations
- You want the result on your own domain. Lovable lists custom domains on its Pro plan
- You are building over weeks, not in one session. An AppSprint room is a time-boxed workshop
- Your teammates each want to try changes in parallel. Lovable's drafts give each person a separate copy to work in before merging
Where AppSprint is the better choice
- The team has not agreed what to build. The guided steps go from naming the problem to a decision the decision-maker confirms
- You want several options on the table. Each person builds their own version, then the prototype review hides who built what while the team marks what it likes
- You want quieter voices to count. Ideas are anonymous and votes are private by default
- You want one prototype shaped by the group with one person at the controls. In Refine Together only the decision-maker prompts the AI, and teammates send anonymous written suggestions
- Clients or non-technical stakeholders are joining. They join from a link without an account, and the video call is in the room
- You want tester reactions before you invest in a build. The Full and Focused sprints include feedback forms
Using both
The natural pairing is to decide in AppSprint and build in Lovable. The Focused and Full Product Sprint include a step where the host generates a build brief (PRD) and a handoff package: an AI build prompt, the sprint's decisions, the prototype's HTML and screenshots, written to be given to ChatGPT, Claude or another development tool. There is no direct connection between the two products. You carry the brief across yourself, for example by using the build prompt as your opening message in a new Lovable project.
