Feature
Session summary, build brief (PRD) and handoff package
An AppSprint session ends with a session summary: a structured record of the confirmed decisions and prototypes, which a host or co-host can share as a link that needs no sign-in. In the Full and Focused Product Sprints the host can also generate a build brief (PRD) in Markdown and download a handoff package, a ZIP with the prototype, the decisions and screenshots, meant for developers or an AI coding tool.
What you can take away
| Output | What it is | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Session summary link | Confirmed decisions, journey maps, the selected prototypes, all gallery prototypes and the build brief | A web page anyone with the link can open |
| Build brief (PRD) | Build instructions written by AI from the confirmed decisions and the final prototype | Markdown, copied or saved as build-instructions.md |
| Handoff package | README, AI build prompt, sprint decisions, the collaborative prototype, its refinement history, and desktop and mobile screenshots | sprint-project-package.zip |
| Prototype download | A runnable single-file index.html with a README, or a standalone HTML copy | ZIP or .html |
| Meeting notes and transcript | AI notes written from the transcript, if a host turned recording on | .md and .txt |
How the session summary link works
A host or co-host creates the link
Anyone who has the full link can view the summary without signing in.
Readers see the current state of the room
The page reads live room data, so it reflects the room as it is now and is not a frozen copy.
Readers can download a build kit
"Download ZIP" produces an AI build kit. It leaves out private notes and transcripts.
How the build brief and handoff package work
The Full and Focused Product Sprints include a step called Choose Your Next Step, after Refine Together. There the host can generate the build brief (PRD) and the handoff package, or the team can carry on to user testing. Only the host can generate the PRD.
The PRD is written by AI from the decisions the team confirmed and the final prototype. The meeting transcript is not used. The handoff package is meant for a developer or an AI coding tool.
What is and is not included
- The session summary itself is a structured record, not an AI-written narrative.
- Private sketching steps never appear in any output. They live only in each person's browser.
- Transcripts are excluded from the summary ZIP, the PRD and the handoff package.
- The handoff package uses only the first winning prototype, even if the decision-maker kept two or three.
Limits worth knowing
- The PRD is Markdown only. There is no PDF or Word export.
- There are no integrations. Work leaves AppSprint as files and share links.
- Generating the PRD is AI work and uses the host's credits. See pricing.
Which templates include it
The One-Hour Sprint, Focused Product Sprint, Full Product Sprint and Team Vibe Coding all end with a Session summary step. Choose Your Next Step, with the PRD and handoff package, is part of the Focused and Full Product Sprints.
