Team Vibe Coding: build one prototype together with AI

Team Vibe Coding is a one-hour AppSprint session with 3 guided steps: name the project, build together for 45 minutes, and read the session summary. The whole team works on one prototype that starts from a blank shared builder. Only the decision-maker prompts the AI. Teammates watch the same view, send anonymous written suggestions, and can vote on them when that helps.

Who it is for

This template is for a small team that already knows what to build. There are no idea, sketching or review steps. You go straight to one shared prototype, with the video call in the same window.

If people still disagree about what to build, a template with private voting will serve you better.

The three steps

  1. Name your project (5 minutes)

The host writes a title and the problem the prototype should address, so everyone starts from the same sentence.

  2. Build together (45 minutes)

The shared builder starts blank. The decision-maker types prompts, and the AI returns a working prototype and then targeted updates. Teammates follow the decision-maker's view or choose "Explore on your own" to click around the prototype themselves. It is the same activity as Refine Together.

  3. Session summary

A structured record of the project and the prototype that a host or co-host can share by link.

How teammates shape the build

  • Each teammate can send up to 10 written suggestions of up to 600 characters, with an optional snapshot of the region they mean.
  • Suggestions are anonymous in the interface. They appear as written and are not summarised by AI.
  • The decision-maker can run an optional advisory vote on suggestions, then press "Apply change" on the ones to build.
  • The decision-maker also chooses the AI model and quality level and can restore an earlier version. The 20 most recent versions are kept.
  • If the prototype is a game, the decision-maker's canvas streams to teammates so everyone sees the same play.

What the team leaves with

One working prototype that the whole team has seen take shape, plus the session summary. The prototype downloads as a ZIP with a runnable single-file index.html, or as a standalone HTML copy.

It is a prototype, not a product. Each build is one HTML file with inline CSS and JavaScript, no backend, no external libraries and no network calls. See what the AI builder makes.

When to pick a different template

If you want several directions to compare, use the One-Hour Sprint: each person builds their own prototype, the team reviews them anonymously, and the chosen one is then refined together. If you also need user feedback and a build brief (PRD), use the Focused Product Sprint or the Full Product Sprint.

This template is built around one shared prototype and one person at the keyboard. It is the wrong fit if everyone wants to prompt at once.

Questions and answers

Is there a tool where a team can build a prototype together with AI?

Yes. In AppSprint's Team Vibe Coding template, the decision-maker prompts the AI on one shared prototype, teammates send anonymous suggestions and can vote on them, and everyone sees each new version. It takes about one hour.

Can everyone prompt the AI at the same time?

No. Only the decision-maker can prompt the shared builder, with the host as fallback. Teammates contribute through written suggestions.

Do we see the code being written live?

No. The room shows status text while the AI works and then the finished result in a sandboxed preview with a desktop and mobile toggle. Builds are not streamed token by token.

What does Team Vibe Coding cost?

The room is free with unlimited teammates. AI builds use credits, and the host pays for all AI usage in the room. New accounts get 5,000 trial credits with no card. See pricing.
