For
AppSprint for facilitators
AppSprint is a guided sprint room that takes over the mechanical half of facilitation. The template sets the agenda, and the room handles timers, hiding and revealing notes, private voting, tie-breaks and moving everyone to the next step, with video built in. As host you start timers, reveal and advance, which leaves your attention for the group. The trade-off is a fixed agenda: you pick a template and cannot add your own steps.
The facilitator's version of the problem
Remote facilitation is mostly tool management. You run a call, a whiteboard, a timer and a voting tool, move people between them, check who has finished, and explain each exercise twice. The part only a person can do, reading the room and noticing who has gone quiet, gets whatever attention is left.
What the room handles for you
- Timing. Hosts and co-hosts start, pause, resume and reset a timer of 1 to 120 minutes. Everyone else sees a read-only countdown.
- Reveal. Each person sees only their own notes until you show them. The order is then shuffled and nobody's view shows authors, including yours. See anonymous ideas and voting.
- Voting. Ballots are private, the number of dots is set by the step, and counts appear only after reveal. On a tie you can re-vote the tied options or start a new vote with all of them.
- Progression. Only hosts and co-hosts advance steps. Participants can reopen earlier steps read-only.
- Who is done. A ready toggle and a live Team panel show Voted, Working, Writing, Ready or Sitting out for each person, never the content.
- Explaining the step. The Sprint Coach is pre-recorded voice narration of the guided steps, with captions. It is on by default in the One-Hour Sprint, and it is not conversational.
- Timed exercises. Eight Quick Ideas runs as eight host-started 60-second rounds.
Roles you can hand out
You stay host and can name co-hosts, who can also control the timer, advance steps, start polls and start recording. The decision-maker is a separate role: the person with the final say, who confirms each choice after the advisory team vote and prompts the AI in Refine Together. See guest access and roles and the guide to facilitator and decider roles.
Participants join by link as guests and there is no per-seat pricing. AI usage is billed to the host's credits; see pricing.
Which template to start with
| Session | Template | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Your first session, or one defined problem | One-Hour Sprint | About 60 minutes, 7 guided steps |
| A known problem through to user testing | Focused Product Sprint | About half a day, 15 guided steps |
| Goal, customer and journey map through to testing | Full Product Sprint | About one day, 22 guided steps |
When AppSprint is the wrong tool
If you design your own agendas, AppSprint is the wrong tool. The agenda is fixed per template and steps cannot be added or removed during a session. A free-form whiteboard gives you that freedom; see AppSprint vs Miro.
The steps are about product decisions that end in an AI-built prototype, so retrospectives, team-building or strategy offsites do not fit. Calls are peer-to-peer and work best with about four cameras on.
