Guest access and roles: host, co-host and decision-maker
In AppSprint only the host needs an account. Teammates join a sprint room from a share link as guests, and testers and expert guests need no account either. A room has three roles: the host, who opens the room, pays for AI and runs the session; co-hosts, who help run timers and steps; and the decision-maker, the person with the final say, who confirms choices and prompts the shared AI builder.
How people get in
- Host: signs in with Google, or with an email and password. The email must be verified. There is no magic-link sign-in and no single sign-on.
- Teammates by share link: anyone with the room's public share link can join as a guest, with no account. Guest access is tied to that one room.
- Teammates by private invitation: an invitation sent to a specific email address requires the person to sign in with that email.
- Testers: open a public feedback form with no account.
- Expert guests: on one step of the Full Product Sprint, the host can share an expert link. The expert joins the video call only and sees no chat, content or decisions.
What each role can do

What everyone can do
Every teammate writes notes, votes, builds a prototype in the solo Prototype step, places review dots, sends suggestions in Refine Together, uses the room chat and joins the video call. Notes, ballots and suggestions are anonymous. See anonymous ideas and voting.
Limits worth knowing
- Video calls work best with about four cameras on, whatever the team size.
- The agenda is fixed by the template. A host cannot add or remove steps during a session.
Which templates include it
